So pretty

There are 10,000,000 iterations of the ubiquitous patterned summer dress.  I love the cutouts on this one.  So pretty and different!  It’s not something I’ve never seen before, but it is something one doesn’t see a lot of.  The muted colours (somewhat unusual for said ubiquitous summer dress) would translate perfectly into fall if one were to glam it up.

It’s from Topshop, one of the few major European retailers we don’t have here in Canadaland yet.  Based on what I’ve seen around the interwebs/magazines Topshop looks like a better version of fast-fashion giant H & M (Speaking of my issues with Le H & M, here is a little extended rant I did about why H & M is no longer my sweetheart).  Would it be horrible to admit a major draw for Britain being my next European tour destination is so I could spend, like, 16hours in Topshop?  Let’s hope we get it here soon.  When Euro retailers cross the pond their first stop is the US (obviously).  This was the route Zara, Mango and H & M took to parlay into Canada after establishing distribution and stores (and success) south of the border.  Since the US got a Topshop (or is it a few now…?) a good year + ago (maybe more, I don’t care to google), we should be getting one or more up our way soon enough.

Xo
